Arranging your test
If your Consultant has requested for you to undergo tests, the subsequent steps will depend on the type of test. If you haven't already, you will receive a letter in the post explaining what tests are required and how they are arranged.

In most cases you will be contacted by the relevant test provider to arrange an appointment. Please note that Medefer is unable to book investigation appointments directly, as these are handled by the individual test providers.

If you can no longer find the relevant information and have not heard from the investigation provider, please contact our Support Team.

Results
Investigation results typically take six weeks or more to be received. However, this can sometimes take longer. If it has been less than six weeks since your initial letter, or less than a week since your appointment, we are unlikely to have received your results and would suggest waiting two weeks from when you underwent the test before contact our Support Team.

Test results will automatically be sent to your GP when they are available and have been reviewed by the specialist consultant.

Medefer are unable to provide test results to patients over the phone. However, if you require a copy of a test result, please submit a request via email to patients@medefer.com.
